Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

In late 1965 I came to saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, through His shed blood and repentance from my sin.

True Christians always seek God's guidance.

Christians depend on God's word for daily direction:

Proverbs 4:25-27; 5:21

But situations often arise that test the ability of the Christian to discern right from wrong. Situations vary, but the word of God remains an absolute guide, this is the only way we can keep our walk within God's will: Romans 12:1-2

Here are some questions to ask yourself to determine God's view on situations in our life.

1. Can you ask God to bless it? Proverbs:10:22

2. Can you thank God for it? Colossians 3:17

3. Is it to the glory of God?
Or is it of the world? I Corinthians 10:31

4. Is it a stumbling block to others? I Corinthians 8:9

5. Will it be a weight? Hebrews 12:1

6. Is it to please God or man? Colossians 3:23

7. Do I realize the consequences? Galatians 6:7

8. Will it serve the right master? Matthew 6:24

9. Will His indwelling presence permit it? I Corinthians 6:19-20

10. Would I want to be doing this when Christ comes again? Matthew 24:44

11. Does it promote love? Romans 13:8-10

12. Is it something Christ would take part in Himself? Luke 9:23
